You are commenting on the subject without actually understanding it.First of all you have to expand your own sphere of understanding coz your conclusions sounds mono-focal.You are totally wrong when you said community has not produced great leaders. My friend you just dont know them.
Check history from its inception Islam produces innumerable great leaders in all the fields from science & technology to politics,religion,spirituality,military,education to civil liberties. The problem is some people just dont want to look at it.
Tell me who is Prez Abdul Kalaam ?Who is Azim Premji ?Who was Maulana Azad,Jinnah,Ali Brothers,Ashfaqullah Garhwali,Galib,Khusro,Rafi Kidwai,Fakhruddin Ali Ahmad the list is endless my friend.
And above all Prophet Mohammed was adjudged numero uno by a western christian in Top 100 & he is still on top of the list of the best ever produced by a human civilisation.
I dont know why you guys conveniently forget thousands who excel in all walks of life & never failed to remember few bad people.
Because you are focused on microscopic minority of bad people. If you compare leaders & scholars & scientist proportionate to their population, muslims produces more leaders than any other ethnic group. Check your facts before accusing others my friend.And about the hype of fundamentalism show me a single religion where there is no fundamentalist present.What do you think RSS,VHP,Bajarangi,Godse,Togadias & Singhals are not fanatics ?Do you even know how many Hindus are opposing secularism ?How many hail Godse as hero ?Just because muslims has conflict with foreign tech-bullying everybody is jumping on the bandwagon to accuse & abuse the community. Muslim bashing is a fashion & passion. Its like when big brother get on rampage all frogs start dancing on the same tune. Muslims peacefully co-exist with various faiths for thousands years & now suddenly its clash of civilisation....wow big deal.
Do you know what kind of social & moral disaster your so called liberalism creates in the western world ?
Immoral illicit sex,single mothers,millions getting pregnant at the age of 13 & 14,gays & lesbian,transvestite wierdos,pedophiles,drugs,booz,rackless destruction of values, morales & ethics the list is miserably endless my friend.
If this is what liberalism produced I would love to be an orthodox.
If avoiding evil means fundamentalism yes I am fundamentalist my friend.
