Conflict and Kashmir?s Kashmir has the long history of 5000 years, land which has witnessed rulers of different religions and different ideologies. Kashmir treated as the territory having multiple rulers, from asohka, lalitaditya, Avantivarman, to the advent of Muslim ruler?s sultan Zain-ul-abidin, Mughals, and Afghans, Sikhs and finally Dogras managed to grip their hands on the peace ridden state. Most people believed that it was end to the history which had spend most of its time in bloodshed and slavery ,but unfortunately the coming time for the oppressed Kashmir?s was as harsh as ,when a innocent Kashmir?s was asked to work but without any pay {begari} People of Kashmir always believed that with the passage of time the contentious issue of Kashmir will be solved according to the aspirations and wishes of common Kashmir?s, but from last two decades we have witnessed not a single step forward with regard to the most dynamic issue which has put sub-continents two giant countries on verge of war, on numerous of occasions .With time passing , killing of innocent people, and taking Kashmir on the verge of civil war , not a single politician has come up with a solution accepted to all parties, now the whole issues seems to be losing its weight by just accommodating each others politicians and only fixing dates for next meetings . On one side where state govt. always wait for centre to send packages and most high profile dignitaries waiting to fill their bank lockers with this funding, some make sure that peace never touch even the boundaries of the state because they are paid to keep violence alive and keep this state labeled as terrorist state .And everyone knows that how many events are state sponsored and how many encounters are done just to make sure that talks can only be taken forward when cross boarder terrorisms will be stopped . Thinking of peace in valley has became a unrealistic thing, healing touch, CBM?s and round table have made only news item in Indian a well as local media, And for those which sell and get benefited are watching the scene from outside. Kashmir problem from long time has been discussed and re discussed, but hardly any long lasting solution has been materialized. Round tables, working groups, separatists, people in power, policy makers, and finally decision makers at centre all are showing green pastures to the Kashmir?s, statements like ?we are close to solution? are becoming now routine headings in papers as well as electronic media, but unfortunately every kashmiri feels cheated and disappointed when same issue is discussed in next round table with very little development. On eve of 1st round table most of the Kashmir?s were optimistic and excited, but their dreams never touched the land of reality. People sitting at the level of honor from every side were not able to fulfill the dreams and aspirations of common Kashmir?s, from all corners only one slogan was shouted that we are very near to the solution acceptable to everyone. Things for Kashmir?s are changing drastically, stand of every member is shaking like autumn leaves, dearest ones and unfortunately pioneers of freedom struggle in this part of Kashmir are taking back seat , same is the case with the local leadership, number of occasion visited Delhi attended round table on numerous occasions and yet not able to come up with a solid development, slogans are time and again chanted that we are near to the lasting solution, this shows the credibility of the leadership in peace ridden valley. Autonomy, self rule and other slogans of people within the constitution are used by the other elite class to deceive the people who call themselves most intelligent people. The most unfortunate thing which comes out after all these years is that Kashmir?s are confused about their identity, what to do, how to do and who is going to do it at what time no one knows, every Kashmir is a Azadi supporter on one day next day he attends national conference rally for just 100Rs, same day he shouts pro Pakistan slogans in geelani?s rally and next day he again assembles at muftis rally at lal chowk, same day he shouts aniti Indian slogans at APHC, and adding to all this he next day approaches to government authorities for the sanction of SRO 149. this all shows we are heading towards a disaster which is going to make Kashmir a hostile place to live in, No one really knows what they want Azadi, self rule Autonomy, Accession to India or accession to Pakistan every one wants to fill his pocket what ever the way he uses, whether by attending roundtable are NC or PDP rally that hardly matter for them. No one is bothered for the future of the J&K as a whole every worried about his own identity. I ask one question to every Kashmiri imagine our future after 10 years? good piece written. reflects the pain and dismay at the state of affairs for an ordinary man. hope (and pray) there is light at the end of the tunnel, not far away.

Your history tells me that you were in the habbit of relishing OUTSIDERS and treat them as GODS,whenever you face a problem. This is the undoing of KASHMIR. May be PAKISTAN today, or it was Lord VISHNU against JALDEVA or U went with open arms to ARYANS,TURKS, AFGHANIS, HUNS/ KUSHANS OR even a TIBETAN(RINCHEN) and SHA MIR of SWAT. They all were there, called by you--the people of KASHMIR. This is your history. KNOCK OUT THIS RELIGIOUS HOLD ON YOUR LIVES SINCE TIME IMMEMORIAL--Peace will come to u.
