Lust and Evolution...
This topic is controversial and requires maturity for not being misinterpreted or misunderstood. I have started writing about the topic with a negative expression of thought i.e. ‘not’. Why??? Since that’s how the mass psychology has evolved and people cherish negativity as they consider themselves as rebel. Again this topic is controversial since many people have written about it and they all have been gripped by only controversies. It may not be fault of presenter but mass has given its own versions and thus people initiated a self confusing process. Once confusion grips anyone then the intellect is sure to end as confusion gives rise to doubts and doubts certainly leads to mind full of filth. Guru Nanak has said:

“Je Mat Bhariye Pappan Ke Sang….”
(If the mind is filled with filth …)

Is lust really an evil? Well, every religious scripture says that. If it is really an evil and if human body is considered a form of God, then why does lust reside in human mind? There is one great story about Adi Sankracharya. He was knower of Shastras and he defeated every egoistic human who claimed to know Shastra in and out. But a king when asked Sankracharya to have the discussion with his wife on Kama Shastra, Sankracharya who was a bachelor and virgin refused to have the discussion since he had no experience about it. He asked king that he will return in six months. It is said that Sankracharya experienced Kama by entering into some ones body. So, if we call lust an evil, then Sankracharya should have become corrupted but it never happened. Thus the point to understand here is:

“Lust is not evil but uncontrollable Lust surely is.”

Again, if lust is evil then why Rama, Krishna, Nanak, Hazrat Mohammad, Kabir had families and children. Why Shiva and Vishnu are always shown with their counterparts? Well, lust is that aspect of human life which has played a pivotal role in the evolution of every species. If it is performed as duty then it is controlled but if it is performed since mind desires it then it is becoming uncontrollable. Since, I have mentioned it is duty then I will to suggest reading my posting on Meaning of Sanyaas, if you want to know about it. That will answer you how lust should be performed as duty. One more questions, without lust I don’t see any way of ‘The Great Preachers’ coming to world.

Nature has designed human bodies in such a way that lust gives a feeling of enjoyment to both male and female version. The reason is, human mind has evolved in such a way that if it does not extract fun from an activity it does not like to engage human body in the respective action. Since, for evolution lust is required hence nature has attached a sensation to it. And if a human mind becomes a slave to that sensation lust becomes uncontrollable.

The Institution of Marriages by human society is one example which has asked every human to engage in Controlled Lust. The very reason of wearing clothes is same. So that human mind does not loose the interest and it should not forget that we as a human race have to evolve and to pass on the knowledge to future generations. At then end I will say that lust is an exam which ideally every one has to pass and those who fail, they have only repentance.
